I had a great time creating an ideal school commercial with Beth. I think we worked well together, just like during the school year, and were easily able to share ideas. In the beginning, we both had no idea about what our commercial would be about or entail. Our first goal was to choose an audience. Once we decided that teachers would become our audience, the ideas started flowing easily. Beth immediately began writing quick notes about our brainstorming as we realized that we had a lot of fabulous ideas between the two of us. Once we got our ideas down, we were able to organize them and plan out each scene. Shooting went very smoothly and we were easily able to collaborate on each scene as we went. We then uploaded our footage to Beth's computer and were on our way to editing. We decided Beth should "drive" during this part so that she could have some extra experience using iMovie. We tried a number of different things in our video as we went and were easily able to make mutual decisions of what we liked. We were able to clip scenes, add text, add sound effects, and add music. I believe that our first project came along fabulously and I look forward to working with Beth more!
